It’s that time of year when the leaves are falling, and the temperatures are dropping. Autumn is my favourite time of year, I love big jumpers and park walks, hot chocolate and Halloween. And with Halloween comes pumpkins. With pumpkins comes pumpkin carving and with that comes the need for pumpkin recipes.
To get in the autumn mood I went pumpkin picking and came home with some absolute beauties. So not to waste them I put out the feelers for some recipe ideas and have been given some wonderful ideas. Here I am sharing ideas I have found, been sent and tried so you too can use up your pumpkins!
Let’s start with my favourite Pumpkin recipes, the ones I have tried out…
This is an easy, yummy cake that is worth the minimal effort it will take to make. It has the right amount of spice and is excellent with a cup of coffee.

This is an absolute gem, a mushroom and puy lentil base with cheesy pumpkin and potato mash. A super comforting dish that’s perfect for chilly nights.
I tried this at Mackey Mayor in Manchester and had to try recreating it. It was relatively simple and completely delicious.
Recipes coming soon…
These two have been tried and tested but not yet live on here. Both are delicious and will be making an appearance very soon.
