It’s time again for a favourites post, seriously where does the time go??!! November favourites are an interesting mix of new cult beauty, some things I’ve been lusting after a while and just some things I’ve started using/loving again.
Beauty favourites
Fenty Foundation Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
I have wanted this for a while now, but needed to get the shade right, which meant a trip to the actual shop to have it applied to my skin. Got 210 Neutral which is perfect at the moment but I suspect I’ll need another colour for when I go to the UK. Love the way it goes on, the consistency is amazing. Dries matt without creasing, is extremely long-lasting and most importantly – it is humidity proof. LOVE IT!
Lanagie Water Sleeping Mask
This was recommended to me by a friend who knows her stuff and she was sooo right. I bought it in limited edition lavender fragrance and use it a few times a week, it’s the perfect smell for relaxation prior to sleeping and it feels so lovely.
Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay hand and body wash and body lotion
I have been using the Peony and Blush Suede fragrance for a while now. I like to layer it with a deeper scent to change the overall smell. Blackberry and Bay is my favourite, closely followed by Pomegranate Noir. I wore Peony and Blush Suede layered with Blackberry and Bay on my wedding day- happy smells! You need a mortgage to buy it here but buying it in the UK is a bit less eye watering. It is totally worth it though.
Shopping favourites
Wondermilk – A local company that combines two of my favourite things, cake and beautifully designed homeware.
Zeal & Heart make engraved necklaces with tiny letters making them hard to read! I had to buy the sweary necklace as a nod to finishing the superb Ice Cream for Breakfast by Laura Jane Williams.
Nala I love this company. The prints are fantastic and the shape and cut of the clothing is just perfect. I have two pieces (skirt and dress) and counting. I will be buying lots of Christmas presents from here!
Book favourites
There’s been a bit of a lapse in the book reading this month. I’ve been travelling around Indonesia; action packed days left little time to read unfortunately!
Still reading and LOVING Body Positive Power by Megan Jayne Crabbe
Got back into non-fiction this month with a fantastic thriller – The Hanged Man by Simon Kernick
Still reading The Handmaids Tale by Margaret Atwood, enjoying it but need to give it some more time.
Food favourites
Green juices either pranic juice or a kale/spinach based fruit juice. An oldie but a goodie!
Mexican vibes, made a Mexican pumpkin soup that rocked
Moussaka – made a vegan version that blew my tiny mind!
